Climate Within

Spoken Words from Paris COP21 Climate Change Negotiations, 2015

Climate Within

In the end,

What we care about,

Is the climate within.

For violence to Earth,

Blood in streets and the fields,

Is simply echoing,

The vast turmoil within.

We’re lost,

we’re terrified,

We run fast and away,

We point fingers , look out there for a fix,

We get busy,

Busy-ness,

Dizzy-ness.

All we will ever find,

In this mad out quest,

Is excruciating pain,

Of disconnect within.

Time,

Now,

For you,

For us,

For I,

To re-connect.

If I can visualize, close your eyes, do it with me

If I can visualize all the atrocities of life,

And shrink the dark picture

And hold it, tiny, present, in the back, on the left side of my mind.

If I can visualize, close your eyes, do it with me

If I can visualize all the beauties of life,

And shrink the bright picture

And hold it, tiny, present, in the back, on the right side of my mind.

And if I keep holding,

Dark on the left,

Bright on the right,

And stay just there,

Balanced,

Centered,

Aligned,

Then,

Mes amis,

I’m at the place to be,

To dive deep and within,

My entire being,

Re-connecting,

Re-creating,

Inspiring.

Art

Touches,

Art

Moves,

The artist inspires,

For on the long and perilous journey,

From the head to the heart,

She is showing us the way,

The heartist’s way.

Humans,

Weapons of mass re-connection,

Weapons of mass re-creation,

Of course we can all be.

Please let my Poet Be.

_________

From WHY? to SO WHAT?

Welcome to the 4th circle.

With the climate crisis, the rise of inequalities, the crumbling of our democracies or world economies coming to a standstill because of a global pandemic, purpose and inspiration matter more than ever.

As Simon Sinek framed it quite well, and with a sense of urgency, we need to put the WHY? question at the centre of the “Golden Circle”, before HOW? and WHAT?

Yet, for deep and significant change to happen in a post Covid-19 world, we need to restore the much-eroded trust in our organizations, our communities and ourselves.

For this, we must grow beyond WHY?, look at the periphery, and find in our hearts the strength to ask ourselves an often-forgotten question: SO WHAT?

The time has come to

move from the 1st to the 4th circle.

The time has come to

reinvent the wheels.

It’s all in The Book Of SO WHAT. It’s now in the writing. You’ll like what we see. Suscribe if you’d like.

In red.

Upper right.

You.

We’d like to see.

You’ll like what we see.
